iPad vs iSlate
Apple has announced that their new device will be called the iPad, even though they had trademarked the name iSlate ahead of time. I suppose they were still trying to decide what the final moniker would be at the time I decided to change the “Slate” in Sunset of Furmankind to a “PBJ” (Personal Business Juxtapositioner) to avoid confusion with the Apple product.
Although Apple is not using the iSlate name now, I have no plans to change the name of my device in the story back to the Slate. Our furmen will still be carrying around a PBJ…

Care for a PBJ?
What was once known as the “Slate”, or the “Slateboard”, is now known as a “PBJ”. Yes, that’s right, a PBJ. For the curious, an explanation can be found in Sunset of Furmankind Chapter 15, when the devices are first delivered.
To reflect this change, alterations were made to chapters 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20.
